Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Moonee Valley, Moruya, Dubbo, Warrnambool, Sunshine Coast, Rockhampton and Launceston.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 8 @ 9:45 PM

HE'LL RIP (1) comes here third up and ready to peak. Both runs back have been sound, working home well at Flemington second up over 1420m, no match for a smart winner but doing well to beat the rest. Back slightly in grade here, he should get a nice run just off the pace and be hard to hold out late. MORNINGTON PIER (7) has just found one better at both starts this time in, both in 0-64 races. This race isn't the strongest and he's still quite lightly raced so he can measure up nicely. HARTMAN (11) has been going okay without threatening but maps well here from a low draw and can figure. TOP ARCTIC (5) doesn't win out of turn but is going well enough to be a factor. DIVINE CROWN (3) resumes and has minor claims.
SELECTIONS: He'll Rip to win.

MORUYA: RACE 5 @ 3:25 PM

PRESSILLY (12) impressed when fresh from a spell last start in a maiden over this course and distance, driving hard late to just prevail. No step up in distance second-up which is a variation on the course taken last prep. Back better than ever and worth following. DIVINE RENDEZVOUS (11) wasn't the best away and found it hard to get involved last time out over this distance at Gundagai. Very fit mare whose best efforts are good enough to win a race of this calibre. SNAPPY JIM (2) stalked the pace then went home a shade too well at his latest appearance over 1100m at Nowra. Won't mind the extra trip and is a leading player again. YOUR NOT THE BOSS (1) is back from a 16-week spell. Opened last prep with a minor placing over this distance at Kembla which is a strong form reference. The in-form PERUNO (4) has been in the money at ten of 13 Moruya runs. Must be included.
SELECTIONS: Pressilly an each-way special.

DUBBO: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM

SISTERS PICK (1) has plenty of natural pace and was sent out as favourite when resuming from a spell at Tamworth 18 days ago. She ran out of condition late that day and will be better for it. She is down in class and has won twice second-up in the past. A 3kg claim puts her at a nice place at the weights and she can take this out. NOT WRITTEN OFF (11) can't buy a draw lately but was still good enough to overcome a wide draw at Narromine last time out when leading all of the way to score by over 2 lengths. She has scope and won't be in this grade for long. GUTSY (6) is a tough veteran who has only had two races this year and is fresh up from a spell. He has a good record in a fresh state and can give this a shake. Each-way value. LORD BOB (3) is racing well enough and should be right in the finish again. Each way value.
SELECTIONS: Sisters Pick to win.

WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM

COLLEANO (1) has only had 1 start this year and that was in March before having another spell. He was a recent winner at the Colac trials and will find this BM58 company to his liking fresh up. The blinkers come off for the first time and he is good enough to win this. A market watch is advised. LONG LOST FRIEND (9) had her first run fresh up for the local Mark O'Donnell stable and ran a close-up third. She will be better for that run and with Linda Meech in the saddle, she merits healthy respect. HONOUR DE HERO (3) is a handy local mare resuming from a spell with a trial under her belt. She normally comes to hand quickly and benefits from a 2kg claim. A good draw will help and she has each-way claims. ZOUGHANDI (4) whacked away solidly when finishing midfield fresh-up at Hamilton 18 days ago on a heavy track. He has been patiently handled and is ready to go on with the job. A firmer surface would enhance his claims.
SELECTIONS: Colleano to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 1 @ 5:40 PM

STARWARD (8) has been right there in both starts to date including placing here at the latest effort. Strikes a winnable contest and can improve enough to play a major role in the outcome. FASHION FLASH (12) placed over this course and distance when facing the starter for the first time and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Has to be included. TREVATT COURT (16) gets a favourable draw and rates a genuine top-three candidate on the debut effort. WHEEPER (9) has shown plenty of ability at the trials and a watch on betting is advised.
SELECTIONS: Starward each-way.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 6 @ 4:27 PM

KATHY'S BEAU (2) is a former Victorian who won a CL3 first-up for the sharp Taylor barn and was heavily bet. The longer sprint suits and he's still well shy of his peaks. Stanley will push forward and he should have these covered. PROMISE YOU (5) brings a win and placing from Warwick and it's solid form. She gets in well with the 3kg claim and a bounce isn't out of the question. BENCOOLEN (3) is better than the form line suggests. His effort here two back would have him in the mix and he has two key gear changes. Wiggins rides for the first time and that's a positive. POET'S DAY (8) will be fitter and has won 2/3 this distance. Maps well and his best would see him competitive.
SELECTIONS: Backing Kathy's Beau to win.

LAUNCESTON: RACE 3 @ 6:30 PM

SKY LAND (8) is a leader who brought strong turf form to resumption when narrowly missing on the synthetic. Raced even money in that and fitter she can deliver the overdue win. ARTILLERY FIRE (3) debuts and has looked sharp at the trials. Won her last here easily and Pires is a key jockey booking. Has the outside gate but a bold effort is likely. WILD NIGHTS (9) improved again when beaten a whisker on the synthetic. Her turf form prior had been threatening and she keeps a 2kg claim. Will use the inside gate and is a player. BILLIE THE GREAT (4) trialled well and missed a whisker on debut (synthetic). She's trialled sharply here since and maps to advantage. Fitter and can keep building. Ditto TUSKEGEE (2) also went close on debut (synthetic). Has a senior rider aboard today and he also deserves consideration.
SELECTIONS: With Sky Land with the race fitness.
