A gelding operation could be the making of Millane who returns from a spell at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
Tony Gollan's four-year-old didn't really fire in two starts last time in but had shown ability when stakes placed at the previous preparation.
Millane has won fresh before and will be ready to go off two trials.
Ryan Maloney sticks with him and he is nicely placed to strike first up.
His stablemate Instagood could be worth an each-way bet at double figure odds in the day's opener.
The filly is yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance and will be hitting peak fitness fourth up.
