RACE 5 (3) BENNETTA: Quality mare strikes the right race at the right time after resuming with an eye catching fourth in the G3 Sheraco Stakes at this course when she found the 1200m too short in a leader dominated race. She’s never been far short of the best of her sex and now she is fully matured this looks a winnable race for her second up as she will relish the extra 200m and is likely to get the last run at them with th advantage of a soft passage from her rails draw.
RACE 6 (5) SAVVY NATURE: Impressive improver is following the path blazed by his sire Savabeel when he was a spring 3YO. SHowed a cxlassy turn of foot when he stepped up in grade and distance to easily win the G3 Spring Stakes at Newcastle, a race renowned for the quality of its winners going forward. Should take this natural progression in distance in his stride and be too sharp for his more dour rivals.
RACE 7 (8) YOUR HONOUR: Promising Victorian came to Sydney off a super first-up win at Sandown to show he was a genuine Epsom Handicap contender with an eye catching third in the G2 Theo Marks Stakes over 1400m at this course at only his sixth career start. There’s heaps of upside to this 5YO as it was only his second race start in 12 months and he is certain to improve with the benefit of his experience at this track.
