The Simon Miller trained Liberty's Gem returned in great order last start and can stretch his winning streak to four on Saturday at Belmont.

Stepping out for just his sixth career start, the son of Statue Of Liberty has only tasted defeat once and is clearly heading in the right direction.

Successful in leading throughout in his return, Liberty's Gem was notably marked five pounds below his best and remains open to good improvement.

He has placed in both attempts at Belmont and should relish the slight step up in trip, given he is already a Group 3 winner over 1400m.

Currently installed a 6-4 chance appears more than a worthy gamble as if priced on predictive ratings, we have him installed closer to a $1.80 chance.

The Jim Taylor trained New Time is the only other galloper likely to press forward and hence Liberty's Gem should have no concerns crossing from the wide draw.

The in-form Peter Knuckey links back aboard and overall is striking at just shy of 20 per cent with the Simon Miller stable.

Liberty's Gem remains one of the more promising 3YOs in Western Australia and should prove very hard to beat.

Fellow promising 3YO Rebel King can atone for his first up defeat when contesting the seventh event.

A distinct eye-catcher behind the talented Sheidel first up, it can be argued Rebel King should have won, after he only got clear late in the piece.

Marked nine pounds below his best, Rebel King remains open to sharp improvement and is unbeaten from four attempts at Belmont.

He is yet to miss the money over this trip and while drawn out, he should be able to roll forward and either lead or settle just off the speed.

If shopping well, better than even money can be locked down about Rebel King's chances, which appears a good overlay.

On best form, we can price him as short as $1.50 and are more than happy to take the current price on offer.
