Best From The West - June 13

3 minute read

The Grant Williams trained Fashion Princess returned to the winner's stall in fine order last start and appears well placed to go back to back at Belmont on Saturday.

Set to contest the final event the daughter of Iffraaj was simply too good over the mile when displaying sharp improvement racing third up.

Although it was her first win since May last year, Fashion Princess is rarely far away and has placed in 14 of 24 career starts.

Fashion Princess has placed in seven of 11 attempts at this track and four of seven attempts over this trip.

On the quick back up, Fashion Princess has finished second on both previous attempts under these circumstances.

Using Timeform weight adjusted ratings she rates on top following her last start performance and gets the added aid of Jordan Turner's 3kg claim.

Overall Turner is striking at 20 per cent with the Williams camp and has won his last four straight in Metropolitan company (prior to Saturday).

Currently installed the 3-1 favourite Fashion Princess appears good value as we have her installed closer to a 7-4 chance.

Likely to settle midfield from the awkward draw we expect Fashion Princess to be very hard to hold out in the straight.

Another galloper who presents good value at his current quote is the Daniel Morton trained Red Ora in the fourth event.

Unbeaten in five career starts the son of Due Sasso continued to raise the bar last time in and is a big watch fresh on Saturday.

In his first preparation he defeated 10 subsequent winners and has drawn to receive all the favours along the inside.

Obviously we have plenty of respect for Rebel King however when assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings Red Ora holds a key edge over his talented rival.

At his current quote of 7-2 he presents a good overlay and we suggest you stick with him.
