One Inch Punch has been racing in terrific form of late and will be hard to hold out again when he lines up in the Benchmark 95 Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
The Toby Edmonds-trained runner has featured in the money his last five starts which includes three wins, the most recent coming at this C/D last start in open company when getting the better of Punta Norte.
Goes up 3kg in weight on that effort but enjoys racing at the new Eagle Farm, winning 2/3 and placing on the other occasion. Jeff Lloyd who has been riding well remains on board and he will get a good run off the pace from barrier 8.
One Inch Punch does his best racing over the 1400m trip, missing the placings just once in 10 outings and the current price of $5 looks a good bet for a horse with his form.
Could even be around each way odds and this does not look any tougher to what he has been racing against recently.
The last race of the day will see a very competitive field of 16 runners go around and if you find the winner you will get a very good price.
Star Of Night (Race 8 #11) returned in good order in a small field, when winning with ease over 1200m at the Gold Coast.
Raced in much tougher company last campaign and he rates well against these on best form and the step up to 1300m will suit.
The stable clearly has an opinion of her having run in Group races last campaign and she possesses a very handy career record.
Jim Byrne goes on board for the first time today and might settle further back in the field today from barrier 8 than she did at the Gold Coast last start.
Starocity and Dandy One looks among the main dangers but at the price of $6, Star Of Night looks a very handy each way bet.
Good Luck!!
As a side note, TopBetta will continue its King Of The Spring tournament (Caulfield Cup Day) on Saturday ($30K Total Prize Pool) it is definitely worth checking out - Click Here.
