Super Fortune To Relish Turf Track At Kranji

3 minute read

Super Fortune will look to continue his outstanding form since coming to Singapore when he lines up in the Kranji Stakes A (1200m) tonight.

The four-year-old gelding has won four of his six outings in Singapore, all on the turf and has placed on the other two occasions.

Super Fortune won well in the Kranji Stakes A over this same trip two starts back before a handy run for second behind Skywalk on the Polytack last start.

Not seen at the races since early December, Super Fortune has trialled recently in preparation for this and expect him to be very hard to hold out once again today.

From barrier 3 would expect the former Australian galloper to not be far away in the run and back on the turf today he is certainly going well enough to be winning this.

Nova Swiss is probably better suited on the Polytrack but in saying that was not too far away at his only run on turf which came in Group 3 company when sixth to Countofmontecristo.

Comes off a decent effort in the Group 3 New Year Cup (1200m) last start when running fifth and there was a lot to like about his win in the Kranji Stakes A three runs back in October of last year.

The four-year-old gelding certainly has plenty of ability and a handy career record to match and from the wide draw would expect him to push forward once again and take plenty of running down.

Would be more keen on his chances if the race was on the Polytack but based on his only run to date on the turf he is more than capable of making his way into the finish.

Wimbledon finished last year with a good run for third in Kranji Stakes A over 1200m on the turf when not beaten far by Super Fortune and his run in the Group 3 New Year Cup last start was not as bad as it seems.

Probably better suited back on the turf today and if he can run up to anything near his best he is more than capable of running into the finish here.

Does his best racing over the 1200m trip with five wins and he is a very consistent horse who won’t be far away in the run from a middle barrier and should be very competitive today.

Elusive Emperor rounds out the main chances despite taking on tougher than last start but is a horse in form who is more than capable of running into the finish.

Good luck!
