The Sharon Miller trained Rose's Shadow is racing in great form and appears well placed to go back-to-back in the fourth event at Ascot on Saturday.

Only lightly raced, Rose's Shadow followed up on his narrow defeat two back, when dominant over the mile last start.

Ridden patiently in the small field, Rose's Shadow loomed ominously, before quickly taking over passing the 100m.

Racing away to score by a length and a quarter, Rose's Shadow easily defeated impressive subsequent winner Palace Rogue.

His second win from six starts, Rose's Shadow returned a new career peak and is clearly a 3YO heading the right way.

On the relatively quick back up (10 days), he appears well placed down in the weights and Pike is obviously a key booking.

As much as 2-1 is being offered about his chances early doors which appears a worthy gamble, very easy to mark him 6/4 on Saturday.

He is expected to get into a lovely spot from the draw and with clear air on straightening he should take a power of beating.

In the third event the Stephen Wolfe trained Captivated Point appears well over the odds following a solid performance behind Grey Enigma last start.

A model of consistency in recent efforts, Captivated Point is yet to win at this track, but certainly gets his chance at the weights and should put himself into the race from the outset.

There doesn't looks to be a great deal of pressure up front and with Hall sticking aboard, he should be in this for a long way.

In an open race, $10 is certainly worth a throw as if able to hold his form, he is sure to be right around the mark.
