Sky Rocket has been racing in terrific form this campaign and he looks well suited when he lines up in the Class 3 over 1400m at Kranji tonight.
The Stephen Gray-trained runner resumed with a big win by over seven lengths in a Class 4 Premier before placing in his last starts at Class 3 level.
Ran on very well from back in the field for second behind Biraz last start over 1200, beaten a half length and he looks very well suited today going up to the 1400m.
Lightly raced with only six starts to his name, Sky Rocket is open to further improvement and the son of Darci Brahma has shown good ability in his short career to this point.
Vlad Duric goes on board for the first time today and from barrier six would expect him to settle around midfield and if he runs up to his recent form he will take plenty of beating in this company.
Lucky Stride has been very consistent in recent times and does not appear far away from a win.
The five-year-old gelding has placed in his last three outings, the most recent when third to Lim’s Royal over 1400m in a Class 3.
Has been over a year since he last tasted victory but Lucky Stride continues to race consistently well and based on his last three outings looks to have strong claims in this field.
All three career wins to date have come over the 1400m trip and from the handy draw would expect him to not get as far back as he did last start.
Ticks all the boxes in a race like this remaining on the turf and I would be very surprised to not see him somewhere in the finish.
Former UK runner Bengal Lancer has been only fair in two runs since coming to Singapore but should relish the step up to 1400m now.
Form in the UK was pretty good and if he can produce anything near that level he will be very competitive in races like this.
Both wins to date have come over the 1400m journey and now that he is up to the 1400m he could represent a solid each way bet.
Darci Charmer rounds out the main chances despite being winless in exactly three years to the day.
Placed last start and recent form suggests he can make his way into the placings once again today.
