The Chris Waller stable is not renowned for winning first up, so when one does you have to take notice.
Only lightly raced, So Taken went to the paddock in great form and proceeded to take a good step forward, when too strong late at Warwick Farm over 1100m.
Having now won three of her last four starts, she is clearly a filly trending the right way and has continued to give the clock a good beating.
Her last two wins have been well above average and she will have no concerns with the prospect of a wet track on Saturday.
Lines up against a few promising types, however she possesses a key fitness edge with 10 of her 13 rivals first up.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, she appears very well placed as her first up performance has her the clear top pick.
Suspect she can improve on that performance second up and hence it makes it very hard for her opposition as they have to run a new peak first up to beat her (never easy).
Have her marked $2.75 and obviously more than happy to bet up at the price on offer.
Will need a touch of luck from the inside draw, but with clear air she should prove very hard to beat.
In the final event the Brad Widdup trained Junglized can round out the day on a winning note.
An open affair to end proceedings, Junglized appears very well placed down in the weights off the back of a handy win at Randwick last start.
Too strong late for Sei Stella on that occasion, Junglized returned a new career peak and like the fact he has since been kept fresh (28 days).
Corey Brown links back aboard (placed 2/2) and he looks to receive all the favours from the middle draw.
Recent trial behind Dyslexic (worth noting he didn't wear blinkers) was solid enough and he has won 4/9 attempts over this trip.
If able to hold/replicate his form, he should be in this for a long way.
