The Lightning Stakes headlines the nine-race card set out at Morphettville for the last Saturday of the racing season.

Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes place-getter Kuroyanagi lining up in Saturday's Listed feature makes for one of the strongest crops of two-year-olds to target the race in recent years.

A deserved market favourite after impressing in her debut prep, the W Clarken & N O'Shea runner gets the key jockey booking of Jamie Kah who's returns to her home state to pilot the Written Tycoon filly.

Sitting on the second line of betting is fellow two-year-old filly Arabian Summer from the T & C Mcevoy camp. In what makes for a salivating battle between the fillies who sit 1,2 in betting, I've got a slight lean to the Mcevoy runner.

The Too Darn Hot filly returns off a 63-day let-up after taking out the 2YO Classic up at Doomben during the QLD carnival. Also getting in under the light weight, she has proven versatile not only with where she can settle but performing well on Good and Soft surfaces.

Rated 108 & 106 respectively at Racing and Sports, I doubt there will be much between the fillies on Saturday but with the more recent run under the belt, I'm happy to side with Arabian Summer at the better price.

As for our bet365 best bet we head to the last where I'm confident the R & C Jolly-trained Kalasec can get the job done.

Kalasec has been an eye-catcher in his last two and has done so even with limited luck in running. Currently rated 88 on the R&S scale, the son of Brave Smash sets up well to amass a new peak when fourth-up on Saturday and if he can do that, he'll have these covered.

As for the best value play, I'm keen on Burning Bright in race 7.

The Andrew Gluyas-trained filly didn't have it all go her way last start when having to lead up the second division and then was chopped out at a crucial stage of the race, before picking up strongly late to get close to the winner.

Meeting a lot of these significantly better at the weights a week later with the 3kg claimer piloting, the three-year-old has shown versatility with early tactics and has enough ability to overcome the sticky draw.
