Cranbourne Cup day where we’ll be looking away from the features for our best.

We head over to Cranbourne for feature racing this Saturday with the Cranbourne Cup and The Meteorite headlining.

I couldn't find a strong lean in either, with Globe on top in the Cup and Baraqiel from Nadal in the sprint but for the best I'm looking to the Pendant where Floozie is a mare on the up who can measure up strongly.

She's a very well-bred mare who has always promised a bit, holding a peak RAS rating of 100 when second to Miss Aria last time in at Caulfield.

Her return win at Bendigo over 1300m on paper wasn't anything special, but she settled back in a slowly run race and her splits were very good to get over the top of the ones who had it easy on speed.

She ran to a RAS rating of 96 there and gave every indication that a new peak is incoming, which she will need.

The top two in the market are coming off ratings around the 106 mark but Floozie does get 3.5kg off them, draws perfectly and can improve quickly.

Expecting this to have been a target race for her on her home track and the each-way odds look a good bet.

On a tricky day, the other bet I'll throw up is Trapeze Warrior in Race 5, a benchmark 70 over 1000m.

It's a fairly typical sprint race and Trapeze Warrior is the one with upside coming off a new peak of 96 on the RAS ratings when second to Pisanello at Flemington.

He's always promised a bit, winning on debut here over 1200m at $1.80 and then starting $3 in a strong race at Geelong.

This race is only going to take a winning rating of ~100 and Trapeze Warrior looks very capable of taking that next step from a perfect draw.
