Karacatis resumed with a bang to claim the WH Wylie at Morphettville.
The highly consistent locally-trained Karacatis was quickly away and then eased to get a good trip in fifth place, one off the rails. He switched around heels rounding the home turn, put in a quick run and grabbed the lead at the 200m.
He then drew away to score a decisive first-up win.
Addiction To Rock settled second last in the 13-horse field. He was giving the leader about eight lengths at the 600m, saved ground rounding the home turn and switched out at the 250m.
He then ran on quite well to get second, without threatening the winner.
Maybe Discreet was midfield, between runners, from the 800m. She improved wide at the home turn and kept fighting on in the straight for a sound first-up third.
Splash Of Moet made good ground, wide from the 600m, for a sound fourth.
