The Cleaner led all the way for an easy win in the George Adams Plate.
The noted front-runner The Cleaner went immediately to the lead as expected but was rated quite well in front on this occasion (first 800m 47.80) and headed to the home turn with lead of only a length and a half.
He sprinted clear on straightening and was untroubled from that point to score by two lengths, running his final 800m in 48.72sec.
Jakcorijim had a good run in fourth place, one off the rails. He went to second at the turn and kept battling on to hold that position to the post.
The three-year-old Inner Warrior was midfield between runners, got a nice run through coming to the turn to be fourth on straightening. He then fought on to take the minor placing, beaten three and three quarter lengths.
The outsider Relentless Pursuit battled on for fourth while the favourite Road Trippin’ ($2.20) was fifth, one off the rails, was under pressure approaching the turn and only plugged on to finish fifth.
