Brazen Beau began well from a wide barrier (9) and eased to get a good run in fifth place, one off the rails.

Nash Rawiller angled for and got a perfect split turning for home, took the lead at the 200m and the colt then drew clear for a decisive win.

Looks Like The Cat raced in seventh place on the rails, was held up for a run on turning for home, got an inside run at the 200m and then finished nicely to take second.

The favourite Shaumari travelled well in sixth place, one off the rails and moved up well (wide) rounding the home turn. She looked a threat when second at the 200m but then battled on for third.

Eloping raced outside the leader (Deuced) to the home turn, challenged at the 200m and then held on fairly well for (4.5 lengths) fourth while Mohave ran on fairly well from eighth at the turn to finish (5.5 lengths) fifth.

Furbish (eighth) and Time For War (tenth) both raced near the tail of the field and did not threaten at any stage.
