Lonhspresso finished best to prevail in a tight Straight Six at Flemington on Saturday.
Lonhspresso came from last and closest to the grandstand rail to score a most impressive victory in a driving finish.
She was still five or six lengths off the leaders at the 200m and she came with a most impressive finishing burst to be score right on the line.
Le Bonsir raced on the outside of the field that all raced on the flat side rail. He was nursed into the race by Dwayne Dunn always travelling well within himself. He picked up well when asked at the 250m, going by the long time leader Pampelonne at the 50m but just not having enough to fend of Lonhspresso on his outside late on.
Essay Raider was away well from the barrier and he settled on the back of the leader Pampelonne. He came with his run along the fence, battling on strongly under hard pressure to be just go under in a tight four-way finish.
Pampelonne settled well in the lead travelling well within himself. He accelerated well at the 250m and put a break on the field looking the winner but he tired a little right on the line to finish fourth, three quarters of a length from the winner.
