Sireeze wins 2014 Tabtouch - Hannans Hcp Listed $140,000 at Kalgoorlie (WA) 3yo, 1400m.
Sireeze began well from his difficult barrier (14) and after being wide in the early stages, eased to enjoy a good trip, fourth one out and one back. He was under riding on turning for home but kept responding in the straight to hit the lead nearing the post to win by a long head, benefiting from a 4 kilos advantage over the runner-up.
The top weight (59kg) Express Service showed good early pace, was second in the early stages then eased to race in third place. He moved up to chase the leader (Delray Beach) at the turn, got to a narrow lead at the 50m before holding on for a game second.
The mare Bippo No Bungus was well back in the 16-horse field and was hard ridden to improve on passing the 700m. She fanned deep at the turn and then made considerable ground for a late-closing third.
