Miracles Of Life wins 2015 William Hill Classic Group 1 $400,000 at Morphettville (SA) Fillies & Mares, 1200m.
Miracles Of Life was smartly away, Hugh Bowman then eased her and she settled in a good position (three wide with cover) in sixth place. She moved up nicely rounding the home turn, eased out to make her run on passing the 300m and then came with a strong burst to grab a last-stride win.
Gregers travelled well outside the leader (Tycoon Tara), put pressure on that runner on turning for home and looked the winner when she got to the front at the 50m but was then caught on the post for second.
I Love It enjoyed a nice trip from her inside barrier (1) racing in third place on the rails to the home turn. She got into clear running at the 100m and then fought on nicely for third.
Miss Steele settled near last from her outside barrier (15) and was 12th on the rails nearing the home turn. She then got right along the rails, to be close to the leaders at the 100m and then fought on for a good (1.2 lengths) fourth.
Tycoon Tara led the field until half-way down the straight and held on well for (1.3 lengths) fifth after running a bold race.
Politeness was near last to the home turn, switched deep on straightening and ran on strongly for (1.4 lengths) sixth, putting up a good effort.
