Haussmann wins 2015 Civic Stakes Listed $100,000 at Rosehill (NSW) 3yo+, 1350m.
Haussmann began well from his inside barrier (1) and after sharing the early lead, eased to settled in third place on the rails. He got through on the inner at the 300m, took a narrow lead at the 100m and battled gamely for a good win.
Two Blue began smartly and soon worked across from her wide barrier (11) to take the lead. She was challenged at the 200m and then fought back particularly well for a good second.
See The World did not show and early pace and settled back in ninth place on the rails and remained there to the home turn. He switched deeper on passing the 300m and ran on nicely to grab a sound third in a photo.
Rugged Cross was eased from his outside barrier (12) and settled in last place. He went wide on turning for home and kept running on well for an encouraging (2.8 lengths) fourth.
Favourite Dothraki began well but was trapped deep from his wide barrier (10) and settled in fourth place (three deep, without cover). He moved up at the 200m, briefly looked a threat and then battled under his top weight (59.5kg) for (2.9 lengths) fifth after a wide trip.
