Decision Time wins 2015 Sky T’bred Show County Qlty Group 3 $125,000 at Randwick (NSW) 3yo+, 1200m.
After soundness issues, eight-year-old Decision Time put up a good effort in scoring his first win here since taking out the Concorde Stakes (Gr 3, 1000m) at this track in September 2013. He was smartly away from his good barrier (2) and soon drove thought to take the lead. He grabbed a break on turning for home, was challenged strongly in the closing stages but lifted gamely to win well.
Boss Lane raced in third place, one out and one back before moving up shortly after turning for home. He challenged at the 200m and battled strongly for a good second.
Vashka raced in second place to the home turn and then fought on for a sound first-up third.
Heart Testa travelled well in fourth place on the rails, gaining a nice run on the inner on straightening and looked a threat when he challenged at the 200m. He then battled on soundly for (0.5 lengths) fourth.
Countryman was fifth to the home turn, moved up at the 300m and kept fighting on well for fifth, beaten just over a length.
