Promising staying mare Amelie's Star continues to make quick progression through the classes now winning four in succession and impressed stepping up quickly to Group Three here. She settled well in back in sixth place before moving up strongly (deep) from the 600m. She took the lead at the 200m and then raced away to win impressively, running the 2400m out well.

Bohemian Lily raced in second place following a moderate tempo before moving up nearing the 600m. She got to the front at the 300m and then fought on for second, having no chance with the winner.

Reigning was fifth on the rails, improved between runners coming to the 600m and kept running on reasonably well to just grab third.

King Kinshasa was a handy fourth, moved up well at the 600m but just kept battling on from the 300m to finish (5.1 lengths) fourth.
