Solicit soon crossed from her wide barrier (12) to take the lead. She then settled well, picked up the tempo from the 600m and dashed right away over the final stages to score most impressively.
She's Clean was back about tenth before improving between runners on straightening. She got to fifth at the 200m and fought well along the rails to gain second in a photo, having no chance with the winner.
Mossbeat was well back in second last place in the 16-horse field and finished strongly in the centre of the track for a very good third.
Lilly Dazzler was last at the home turn and made good late ground for fourth.
Coronation Shallan was handy all the way and held on for (5 lengths) fifth in a sound effort while the favourite Scarlet Billows was always well back and disappointed in finishing (7 lengths) tenth.
