Sultry Feeling wins 2016 Tab Birthday Card Stakes Group 3 $150,000 at Rosehill (NSW) 3yo+Fillies & Mares, 1200m.
Sultry Feeling put up a good effort in scoring after a wide trip. She settled in sixth place from her difficult barrier (12), racing three wide. She put in a quick run from the 300m, took the lead at the 200m and then fought back to win well.
Lucky Can Be raced in eighth place on the rails, got along the inner at the 200m and then finished well for a good second.
Perignon had a good run in third place on the rails, finally got a split at the 100m and then fought on to take the minor placing.
Top weight (59kg) Cradle Me raced back in the field as usual, settling in tenth place. She switched into clear running at the 300m and then ran on strongly to finish a good fourth, putting up a promising effort at her second run this preparation.
