Six-year-old gelding Turnitaround, who was having his third run this preparation, stepped up to score his first Group win in 34 starts here. He began well from his wide barrier (12), settled particularly well outside the leader (Plot The Course), going at a reasonable tempo, before getting to the front at the 200m. He then battled back well to score well.

High Church settled back in tenth place, went deep from the 400m and then put in a strong run to challenge at the 100m. He then kept fighting on well for a good second.

Lidari settled nicely in fifth place, between runners, got into clear running at the 400m and then kept running on, a bit one-paced under his top weight (59kg), for a close-up third. It was a promising effort being only his fourth run since this preparation and he will also appreciate further.

The favourite Cool Chap was a handy third to the home turn and seemed to have every chance before finishing (2.3 lengths) sixth.
