Hellova Street wins 2017 Goodwood Racecourse March Stks Group 3 $120,000 at Flemington (VIC), 1400m.
Multiple listed stakes winner, Tasmanian raider Hellova Street jumped in line in an even start but soon went forward to take up the running. Under Dean Holland, the six-year-old cruised along in front past the 800m and they were leading comfortably approaching the last corner. Into the straight, Holland gave him a shake and they scooted clear by two lengths. Inside the 200m nothing was making any impression and he scored a comfortable one and a half length victory.
Mubakkir had a nice run in third (rails) to the straight, got a split at the 300m and ran on with no likelihood of overhauling the winner.
Zebrinz was well back before they straightened, was blocked at the 300m then swooped late to grab third from the top weight Kenjorwood, who was last and widest into the straight and who also flashed home late for (3.5 lengths) fourth.
