Tashbeeh wins 2017 Straight Six Listed $120,000 at Flemington (VIC), 1200m.
Tashbeeh was a smart first up winner, his first stakes win in 31 career starts, after three placings at that level. He settled well in second place, got to the front at the 300m and then fought back gamely to score well and in smart time (1:08.55). He looks set for a good preparation.
Yesterday’s Songs raced in sixth place, got through to third at the 300m, challenged at the 100m and fought strongly for a very good second in a promising effort at his third run since resuming.
Outsider Tried And True raced close to the lead, was third at the 100m and held on to take the minor placing in a photo.
