Scales Of Justice wins 2017 Hyperion Stakes Group 3 $150,000 at Belmont Park (WA), 1600m.
The 2016 Railway Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Scales Of Justice scored an impressive win. Having his second start this preparation, he was smartly away and soon went to the front. He then settled well, setting a reasonable tempo (first 1000m 63.08) before taking a clear break at the 300m. He then drew away over the closing stages to win easily.
Zarantz raced sixth place, one off the rails, moved up at the 300m and ran on well for a good second, albeit without having any chance with the winner.
Miki Two Toes settled nicely in third place, one off the rails. He went to second at the 200m and the held on well to take the minor placing.
