Sylpheed wins 2017 Aqwa Constructions Qlty Listed $100000, Doomben (QLD), 1350m.
With four stakes placings to her record, typically strong finisher Sylpheed broke through for her maiden stakes win after a dream run in the straight to score win three in 15 starts.
She was well back (rails) around the bend improving to fifth into the home straight but jockey Nozi Tomizawa continued to save ground and when the field fanned was presented with a lovely run then kept to the fence the length of the straight, accelerating quickly when challenged late to put the race away.
Denmagic peeled out three and four wide rounding into the home straight, balanced then kept on strongly all the way to the line.
Sheiswhatsheis had a clear lead turning in, still led at the 200m but was passed soon after yet held third quite well.
