Enbihaar wins 2018 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Prel.-F Group 2 $200,000 at Caulfield (VIC), 1100m.
Lindsay Park-trained/Shadwell-raced filly Enbihaar followed her promising debut win in a 2YO Handicap (1000m) at Morphettville on 20 January with a good victory, stepping up in class here. She travelled nicely behind the leader (Lake District Girl), got to the front nearing the 100m and then fought back to win well.
Oohood again did not show much early pace and settled near last in the 11-horse field before switching deeper to take a split on straightening. She then kept running on well for a late-closing second, staging a smart effort.
Seabrook was seventh on the rails, continued through on the inner coming to the home turn but was checked at the 200m and was fourth past the post, subsequently being promoted to third on protest.
Lake District Girl again showed good pace and led the field until reaching the 100m, battling back to get third past the post. She was later relegated to fourth for tightening and checking Seabrook at the 200m.
