Sugar Bella wins 2018 Schweppes Wenona Girl Qlty Group 3 $150,000 at Randwick (NSW), 1200m.
Talented mare Sugar Bella is now unbeaten in all four starts this preparation and she is now the winner of six of seven starts.
She settled in last place in the 11-horse field, before going widest of all at the 300m. She then produced a strong finish, coming with a very late bid to grab a narrow victory in the final few strides in an impressive effort.
Miss Que raced in seventh place (wide with cover), commenced her bid at the 300m, challenged strongly at the 100m and then fought well for (short head) second.
Perizada raced in fourth place (one out and one back), challenged at the 200m and then battled on well for a close up third with Ravi holding on well under her top weight (59kg) for (0.7 lengths) fourth after leading until the nearing the 50m.
