Racing at Bendigo and Ascot on Wednesday and we’ve got a horse to add to your Racing And Sports blackbook from each meeting.
Bendigo Race 4- Cause For Concern
A strong early tempo helped set up a solid overall time here in this 1100m maiden and Cause For Concern relished it on debut. It was the slowest of the three 1100m races on the card, but the other two were Bm64's and Cause For Concern has run within 0.14 of the fastest on debut. He should continue to improve as the distances rise and with good placement can continue winning.
Ascot Race 6- Truly Inspired
Not a hard one to find with the old firm back together- Pike and Peters in the cerise and white, with Truly Inspired running home a 3.4 length winner over 1800m as a short priced favourite. All of the hype aside, the win was good and run at a decent clip, producing a solid performance and one that suggests this son of Dundeel is ready to go back to Saturday grade and be competitive over 2000m.
