Race 9: Startide
We head to the last where we want to be with the Phillip Stokes-trained Startide wherever she goes next.
The Star Turn filly returned in career best form on Saturday when burning home late to get the verdict. Running to a rating of 80 on the Racing and Sports scale, the five-year-old was arguably the most visually impressive winner of the day. Backed up by the clock, Startide was the fastest finisher for the meeting, rattling home over the last 600m in 32.50.
It's a great starting point for the mare and I'm sure she will be notching up another success sooner rather than later.
