Midweek racing from Canterbury and Sandown Hillside and we’ve got a horse to follow from each meeting.

Canterbury Race 1 – Extremely Hardys

Hard to go past this dominant maiden winner who ran her rivals into the ground, beating a fairly strong maiden field by six lengths, posting the fastest Racing & Sports speed figure of the card, which is always a good sign for a two-year-old. The overall time was nearly a full second faster than the three-year-old maiden over the same trip one race later, and she looks every bit a Group class filly.

Sandown Hillside Race 8 – Blazing Rebel

Not exactly a horse with upside, but one that looks on track to peak in the next couple of runs when getting over a bit more ground. He's started 100-1 and 60-1 in two starts this preparation but really hit the line well here over 1700m to grab second, running the clear race-fastest sectionals from too far back. He can probably even drop back slightly in grade or find a provincial race over 2000m, and given his two SP's, we may get another decent price for a well-placed horse.
