Group 1 placed mare Jersey Lily has been retired and will next be seen at the Inglis Easter Broodmare Sales at Newmarket starting on April 17.
Connections have revealed their decision to retire the Les Bridge-trained mare who has been disappointing in her two runs this campaign.
Jersey Lily will now go through the 2012 Inglis Easter Broodmare Sales at Newmarket next month where she is expected to be much sought after thanks to a solid blacktype record.
The Catbird mare is a dual stakes-winner thanks to her successes in the 2011 Wiggle Quality (1400m) at Warwick Farm and the 2010 Herald Sun Stakes (1400m) at Flemington.
She also posted four placings in stakes company headlined by her second in the 2011 Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) behind the Mick Price-trained Aloha.
Jersey Lily exits racing with four wins and 11 minor placings from 25 career starts.
Her overall prizemoney earnings exceed $460,000.
