Racing NSW Senior Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann inspected Efficient at Randwick this morning following his arrival in Sydney from trainer Robert Hickmott's Victorian stable.

Dr Suann reported that no abnormalities were detected and Efficient has been deemed fit to take his place in the Sydney Cup.

Efficient was a late scratching from the BMW at Rosehill on April 7 when vets deemed him to be lame, a condition hotly contested by his owner Lloyd Williams.

In another Randwick development Victorian trainer Jim Conlan has advised stewards of a late plating change for Rekindled Interest in the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Conlan advised that Rekindled Interest will race with approved race plates back on in front, replacing the concussion plates he wore at his last start when second in the George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill.
