Training partnership David Brideoake and David Freek will saddle up a handful of gallopers at Flemington this Saturday which includes Dance With Her, who will line up in the Group 2 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m).
The six-year-old mare was last seen when running a slashing second behind Lights Of Heaven in the Group 2 Timeform Brisbane Cup (2400m) during the winter to finish off a successful campaign that included two listed wins.
“She is in good shape and has done well since her trip to Queensland,” Brideoake told Radio Sports National.
“She has done plenty of work and I am excited to get her going again, he added.
“She has been very good fresh up in the past but this is probably a little bit hotter standard but she has really pleased us the way she has gone and this will be a step in the right direction further along in the spring.”
Brideoake is unsure of the path he will take with Dance With Her throughout the spring but ideally would be pushing for a Melbourne Cup start.
“We will be stepping her distances up each couple of weeks and I think to be realistic she needs to win something to get a run in the feature races but there is plenty on the support card as well.
“The two mile distance look right up her ally she is a gifted stayer but it is a long way off and on her rating she will need to get a penalty to get a run.”
The daughter of Al Maher will be ridden by Dwayne Dunn and jump from barrier three.
I'm Jake will also resume for the stable in the Sofitel Girls Day Out Handicap (2000m) with Brideoake looking to step the gelding up even further.
“He is in good shape and we have a path planed for him to get over a bit more distance into probably the lavazza or race similar.
“He is in good order and had a trouble free prep and I would expect him to go very nicely first up.
“He is an actual stayer and he has had plenty of miles to get to that stage where we start him over 2000m first up but he is a natural big striding horse and clean winded horse so its not too hard.”
Biancon Rose will round out the day for the stable with the five-year-old mare backing up quickly after a good run behind Let's Be Happy at Caulfield last week.
She has won six races from her 19 starts and looks a genuine chance in the Group 2 Let's Elope Stakes (1400m).
“It was a really good run last start and she was bouncing on Sunday and the oprtion to around in this race was reasonable I thought.
“She is going in lighter at the weights and is nice and fit and is meeting a few of them first up and she is a good chance for her to pick up some black type.”
