FREMANTLE v MELBOURNE
Sunday 21 July @ Optus Stadium
It was the 2nd of June when the Dockers dismantled, destroyed, humiliated Melbourne in the Alice.
92 points was the margin and it could have been more. And yet the tide has turned a little in the last few weeks.
Fremantle hit a small speed bump down in Tasmania. Strangely after leading then giving it up, they made a huge run to turn a 2 goal deficit into a 2+ goal lead.
However they couldn't quite get further enough in front and the Hawks kicked 5 goals to 1 in the last stanza. Momentum got them badly.
The fascinating nature of this game is since losing Petracca and now Gawn, the Demons have actually had a lovely addition of pace.
Not that you'd ever want to lose two elite players but the newcomers have spruced things up and that could hurt the Dockers.

Only ever played once here for a Melbourne win in 2022 |
This place has a nice memory for Melbourne having won a Prelim and Grand Final there just 3 years ago. However they did lose to West Coast in May.
The loser dents a hole for Top 4 and could hurt even the Eight in a quirky year. Not writing off the Demons but the Dockers get the nod – just!
