NORTH MELBOURNE v GEELONG
Saturday 27 July @ Blundstone Arena
This has been traditionally a one way street but how they are playing at the time can limit the margin.
Bar for the Sydney game, North Melbourne has put in a very much improved month.
The midfield has a lot more depth and that takes pressure off the backline.
That allowed them to play Charlie Comben forward and it was a lovely decision. He's probably still a back man but you just never know.
You can see the winds moving in the right direction and while winning may not be optimal from a draft perspective, confidence is a nice offshoot.
As for Geelong, well any excuse about the swimming pool they were playing in is worthless.
They were horrible at home against a good Dogs team. Injuries really aren't their enemy at present and yet you could tell in the opening 10 minutes that it was not looking positive.
The Cats were out hunted, out bodied and out tackled. Plus they let in 13 goals on a swamp. The backline is not what it was.

If history means anything then Geelong win but they are making up the numbers in Finals you possibly have to think. Could North even surprise?
