British compatriots Ewen Ferguson and Jordan Smith will start the final day of the BMW International Open as joint leaders as they both chase a third DP World Tour title.
Scot Ferguson took a two-shot lead into the weekend in Munich and a 71 moved him to 14 under, where he was joined by a surging Smith at the top of the leaderboard.
The Englishman carded a 66 containing five birdies and an eagle, having finished in the top 10 in his last two appearances at this event.
Swede Jens Dantorp and Frenchman Romain Langasque were one shot off the lead, one ahead of former Masters champion Patrick Reed, England's Matthew Southgate and Australian David Micheluzzi.
Smith had a brilliant run just after the turn when he holed a 50-footer for eagle on the 11th and chipped in on the 12th, and vowed to keep his foot down in Bavaria.
"I'm looking forward to it," he said. "It's going to be low scoring tomorrow so I think we've got to stay aggressive when we can. We've got to take those birdie opportunities.
"It's never perfect but holes like 11 and 12 always help: I holed a long putt for eagle and then chipped in for birdie.
"That was massive for momentum to get as close to Ewen as possible and take it into tomorrow."
Ferguson revealed after his second round he was glad simply to be playing again following recent bouts of vertigo and was happy to have stayed in it on a day three when he did not have his best.
"It was a tough day and just quite happy to have a good chance tomorrow," he said. "I'm in a good position and I think on a Saturday you can easily wipe yourself out of it but you can't win it. We've got a good opportunity tomorrow.
"I feel like I'm good enough, I'm ready and my game's in really good shape. It's exciting and I just want a chance coming down the last nine on Sunday. That's what you play and practise for, and if I get myself in that part then I feel like it's a win on its own and we can take it from there."
Dantorp carded a brilliant 64 to sit alongside Langasque, who signed for a 70.
