Dave Rennie's contract extension as head coach of the Chiefs until 2017 is hailed by New Zealand Rugby.
Two-time Super Rugby title-winning coach Dave Rennie has added two more years to his contract with the Chiefs and will lead them until the 2017 season.
Rennie, 51, extended his tenure to six seasons in charge after replacing Ian Foster in 2012.
The former Wellington, Manawatu and New Zealand under-20 coach immediately guided the Chiefs to their maiden title and repeated the dose in 2013.
Two weeks ahead of the 2015 campaign, Rennie says he wanted to dispel speculation he was looking to leave the Hamilton-based team, saying he was happy in his job and lifestyle.
"I get to work with highly motivated people who have very high expectations. It makes every day a challenge and I love that about my job. It was a pretty easy decision really," he said.
"As an organisation we've made some massive shifts, have a fantastic facility and outstanding young men coming through."
The Chiefs season begins against the Blues in Auckland on February 14.
