WTA TOUR FINALS – Q Zheng vs J Paolini

Betting Strategy

BACK: (Handicap) Zheng -3.5 games (recorded at $1.80) for 1.25 units (Rated at $1.63)

I must say I was anticipating a -4.5 game handicap here, in a match where both players have all to play for in terms of progressing. Paolini served over 70% of first serves into play in the quarter final between these two last month and still failed to cover this handicap. Happy to side with Zheng -3.5 games for 1.25 units.

ATP METZ – C Ruud vs B Bonzi

Betting Strategy

BACK: (Match Odds) Bonzi to win (recorded at $2.20) for 1.5 units (Rated at $1.90)

There are genuine question marks over whether Ruud plays, or if he is even in France at the moment. I was again impressed with Bonzi yesterday, and I have to at least take this position pre-match prior to seeing what happens here. Nice value even if Ruud does play.

ATP METZ-L Van Assche vs C Norrie

Betting Strategy

BACK: (Match Odds) Norrie to win (recorded at $1.63) for 1.25 units (Rated at $1.48)

LVA got the better of this match-up at Challenger level 4 weeks ago, winning 1-6 7-5 6-3. Norrie served for the match that day, and looked a little better in what was a gritty comeback win over Carballes Baena in round 1. LVA gets in here as a lucky loser from the first round of qualifying, and I don't think the odds disparity from the last meeting is completely justified here.

ATP BELGRADE- D Altmaier vs C O'Connell

Betting Strategy

BACK: (Match Odds) O'Connell to win (recorded at $1.61) for 1.25 units (Rated at $1.46)

Happy to side with the Aussie here, with Altmaier's indoor hardcourt form a little on the limited side. Hard to make a case for the German here as a result. O'Connell has been competitive recently against far stronger opposition, and a level near what we saw vs Kecmanovic should be enough.
