INTERACTIVE FORM

Racing And Sports has two quality interactive form systems which you as the user can adjust to your own specific tastes and thoughts. We've detailed below how to use both the Neurals and Worksheet areas of a race guide.

Neurals

These are computer enhanced analyses of all the areas which go into making up a race field. They factor in algorithms for every contingency as explained below and added them up to generate the likely best horse in a race.

When you go into them via the Form Guide page you simply run your mouse over any column and you can sort the field by any individual type of Neural Rating which determines the final total (and therefore best rater).

Explanation of Inputs for Neural Analysis

CPCareer performance assessment based on weight/class algorithms
CFCurrent form measured by class/weight algorithms
TIMRevolutionary time assessment (adjusted algorithm)
JAJockey ability algorithm
TATrainer ability algorithm
JTJockey/trainer combination algorithm
WTWet track performance algorithm
CrsCourse suitability algorithm
DDistance suitability algorithm
$Prizemoney earned algorithm
BPBarrier position (course & distance) algorithm
DLRDays since last run algorithm
  • The user sets the level of importance from the Preference Scale (1 to 5 or No) for each algorithm and the output weightings are listed within seconds.
  • The Neural factor analysis will quickly identify for you just who are the main chances in each race, the highest to the lowest based on the factor weightings

Explanation of Worksheet

RFSNumber of runs from a spell (NB Spell defined as 62 days)
DLSNumber of days since last run
12MTHTwelve month Rating figure (already adjusted for weight horse handicapped to carry over 50kgs)
BRRRun Rating. Best of last three ratings (already adjusted for weight horse handicapped to carry over 50kgs) Click on the icon next to the runner name to see ratings graph coming into the race for that horse.
FormForm bonus or penalty (Default values are those as recommended by Don Scott in The Winning Way based on a ratings profile leading into the race - see BRR icon ). These bonus/penalties can be changed according to each user's preferences.
CondCondition bonus/penalty. Default values are Don Scott values based on tables in The Winning Way. User can change.
ConsConsistency bonus/penalty. Default values are Don Scott values based on tables in The Winning Way. User can change.
BPBarrier Position penalties. Default values based on Don Scott Barrier Tables as per The Winning Way.
JOCKJockey bonus or penalty based on Racing and Sports Jockey ratings
JCApprentice rider claims can be added in at the discretion of the user. Enter 3 for 3kg claimer etc
FRFinal Rating (Summation of BRR/Form/Cond/Cons/BP/JOCK/JC)
ExMargTheoretical Beaten margin in kgs based on FR calculation
PerYour Market percentage (%) based on Don Scott Pricing formula and theoretical beaten margin in kilos in ExMarg column
DivMarket percentage (%) based on Don Scott Pricing formula and theoretical beaten margin in kilos in ExMarg column
Tick BoxRemoves horses from your Odds line. Eg if you want only horses in your market within say 5 kilos theoretical margin of your first selection then tick all the runners outside 5kgs and recalculate the odds.
Market PercentageSet your odds market to what ever percentage you desire. Don always used between 80 and 90% percent. Just select the value you require and click save.
