Causing a boil over in the 2018 Bendigo Cup at Bendigo on Thursday, Red Alto staved them off late and stopped a few looking for Melbourne Cup spots.
Red Alto ($71) won for former Caulfield Cup winning rider Brent Stanley and was ridden by Michael Walker.
