He was third in the Melbourne Cup last year and has come back looking stronger this year.
On Wednesday at Geelong he won the Geelong Cup in the fastest time for many a day.
He has now received the 1 kg penalty that will take him to #23 in the Melbourne Cup field.
He defeated the Willie Mullins trained True Self by a head but only the winner can get a penalty.
OTI have both True Self and the third placed Haky, both of whom ran very well although Haky was a bit further back. OTI will discuss whether True Self will go to the Cup or the Mackinnon, and Haky will run in the Hotham to try and get a place in the Cup.
