Jai Hindley is a professional road cyclist from Western Australia and will soon be heading to the 2024 Tour de France with Bora-Hansgrohe.
Hindley made a name for himself when winning the Giro d'Italia in 2022, but he has been unable to build on that success, and heads to the Tour as a big outsider.
A lot has changed since the 2023 Tour de France, and Hindley will now be riding in support of team leader Primoz Roglic.
Roglic made the high-profile switch from Visma-Lease a Bike to Bora at the start of the season, and the Slovenian is priced at 8.00 to win the Tour de France.
Even so, Hindley still has a huge role to play and could become Bora's leader should anything happen to Roglic.

Professional Teams
Hindley currently rides for the German team Bora-Hansgrohe, who will throw all their support behind him during the Tour de France.
However, he got his first chance in the professional ranks with Attaque Team Gusto in 2016, before joining Australia team Mitchelton Scott in 2017.
But it was in 2018, when Hindley joined Team Sunweb, that his career really started to take off.
After four successful seasons with Sunweb, he felt it was time for a change and opted to join Bora, who have taken him to yet another level.
Giro d'Italia success
It was while with Sunweb that Hindley made the cycling world stand up and take notice when finishing second at the 2020 Giro d'Italia.
The Australian showed what an outstanding climber he is when winning Stage 18, which was the 'Queen Stage' of the 2020 Giro, crossing the infamous Stelvio Pass.
Heading into the final stage, Hindley was level with Tao Geoghegan Hart, but was 39 seconds slower than the Englishman on the Individual Time Trial and had to settle for second.
The loss was a huge blow for Hindley, but he was to get another chance in 2022, this time while racing for Bora, and he grabbed it with both hands.
Hindley had already won Stage 9 of the Giro and heading into the third week was second behind Ineos rider, and hot fancy, Richard Carapaz.
Then, on Stage 19 Hindley dropped Carapaz and the rest of the general classification contenders to open up a healthy lead heading into the final stage.
Again it was an individual time trial and this time there was no mistake as Hindley put in a strong ride to get the job done.
The victory also meant that Hindley became just the second Australian to win a grand tour. The first being Cadel Evans, who won the 2011 Tour de France.
2024 Tour de France hopes
Hindley headed into the 2023 Tour de France with high hopes of at least making the podium and he started the race strongly.
The Australian won Stage Five and held the yellow jersey for a day, but that was the highlight of his Tour and he eventually finished seventh in the general classification.
It was maybe at that point that Bora realised they would have to look elsewhere to realise their dream of winning the Tour de France.
The German team snapped up Roglic, who will attempt to push Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard all the way for the win at the Tour de France.
Pogacar remains the hot fancy at 1.61, while Vingegaard is available at 2.75. Roglic is next in line at 8.00, with Remco Evenepoel available at 15.00.
Hindley is unlikely to be in the hunt for the general classification as he will have to sacrifice himself to support Roglic.
There is a chance of him leading the team should Roglic suffer any misfortune, but if all goes to plan then he will be riding as a domestique for his team leader.
