 Cartel for Wyong victory

The sixth race on the Wyong card is a 1350m Benchmark 68 handicap set to take place on a soft 5 track.

Trainer James Cummings is represented by Equipage here, with the filly expected to prove popular with punters having demonstrated good form this prep.

A maiden winner over 1100m on a good 4 track at Hawkesbury first up, the youngster has gone on to register placed efforts on heavy going in both subsequent starts.

The most recent of those saw her beaten just under two lengths when runner-up in a 1200m Class 1 handicap held on a heavy 10 track at Scone on 2nd July.

The daughter of Lonhro steps up in distance here and, while she has the services of in-form hoop Tommy Berry, MISS CARTEL is preferred on this occasion.

Racing from the front appeared to suit when the pick broke her maiden by nearly two-and-a-half-lengths in a 1300m contest at Scone last month.

The selection appeared to appreciate the soft 6 track that day and she has gone on to score twice subsequently on heavy going.

The second of those victories saw her come home two-and-a-half-lengths clear of her four rivals in a 1280m Benchmark 66 handicap at Muswellbrook earlier this month.

Trained by Angela Davies, the filly remains open to improvement, with the step up to 1350m expected to pose no issue.

Regular pilot Andrew Gibbons is again set to ride here with his mount looking capable of recording her fourth consecutive victory.

 Magnum to score at Bunbury

They are set to race at Bunbury in Western Australia with the sixth race of the day a 1003m Class 5 handicap contest.

Bleecker Street demonstrated good form in winning three times last prep and he rates highly on his first start back from a break.

The gelding has been off the track since registering a narrow margin victory in a 1400m Benchmark 58+ handicap on a good 4 track at Geraldton in April.

Brad Parnham is set to ride here, with his mount having delivered a two-and-a-half-length success over 1108m when racing first up at this venue last prep.

The four-year-old has gone well on a soft 6 track and, while any drying of the going would be appreciated, he looks to hold strong claims on this slightly softer surface.

MAGNUM CLASS is the pick here however, having performed well when beaten less than half-a-length over 1000m at Pinjarra on his penultimate start.

The selection contested a sixteen runner Class 3 handicap held on a good 4 track that day and he disappointed at Belmont subsequently.

The gelding finished 11th at Belmont, however he was racing over 1200m that day, with his best form so far having come over shorter.

Chris Parnham's mount has won at this track in the past and, jumping from barrier eight here, he is taken to record his third win of the season.

 Moaksun to break maiden

The second race at Bendigo is an 1100m maiden contest restricted to three-year-old's.

Henry Dwyer is set to saddle MOAKSUN here, with the gelding having placed second on a soft 6 track in two of his last three starts.

Those two efforts sandwich a solid fourth when beaten just under three-and-a-half-lengths in a 975m maiden held on a good 4 track at Swan Hill last month.

Moaksun arrives here on the back of a one-and-a-half-length second in a 1000m maiden at Seymour at the start of this month.

The son of Akeed Mofeed finished strongly from off the pace that day and the step up in distance here is expected to suit.

Mitchell Aitken's mount has a good barrier and, wearing blinkers for the first time, he is taken to break his maiden at the sixth attempt.
