A Group 3, some Listed races and a couple of Country Finals await us at Doomben this weekend.

Doomben is up and about this Saturday with plenty of black type on offer and we've landed on a couple to build an early Christmas bank. 

Our best of the day comes up in the two-year-old affair in the form of the Ciaron Maher-trained Icarian Dream. 

This daughter of Blue Point wasn't disgraced when just missing the placings in the Group 3 Golden Gift at Rosehill behind North England and should find this assignment a touch easier. 

Has race experience over a bunch of these and looks the galloper in this field with the most upside. Currently shopping at around the $2.60 quote and may prove too strong for them. 

Our each-way play lobs in race six with Wairere Falls appearing to be over the odds at $21.

Gets in well at the weights with the 1.5kg claim and is usually thereabouts. He won't know himself carrying just 54.5kg this time around and a 1W x 3P type wager looks a solid investment.
