Doomben was the place to bet today for punters that like their exotics, in particular, First 4s. Three of the eight races produced five-figure results.
Race 2, which saw Aladah saluted at $23 and beat the favourite Bingo Rose, paid over $16,000 on the NSW TAB.
Race 5, despite the favourite Lovingthelimelight winning, paid nearly $20,000 in NSW while in the last race, The Barracks upset favourite Excellantes with the First 4 paying over $28,000 on the Victorian TAB.

Race 3: Mikiyama was $4.80 into $4.60 and solid all the way through betting, despite the popularity among punters for runner-up Winning Glory ($4.00 into $2.90)
Race 4: Brayroan – Opened $3 into $2. Biggest bet early was $3,700 @ $2.80
Race 5: Sweetest Melody was $11 and backed into $7.50 and beat the heavily backed favourite Miss Marx ($5.50 into $3.60).
Race 6: Foreteller $14 into $4.60
Race 7: Stratford $3 into $2.30 with some of the bigger investments on him including $9,000 @ $2.50 (twice) and $9,000 @ $2.40, $5,000 @ $2.50,
Race 8: Brayroan – Opened $3 into $2. Biggest bet early was $3,700 @ $2.80

Race 4: Massoni was the biggest market mover having opened at $26 but starting at $8 after consistent support since markets opened ($2,000 @ $8, $2,000 @ $7.50)
Race 5: Lopov was heavily backed from $4.20 into $3.60 with some sizable bets placed on him ($4,000 @ $3.60, $4,000 @ $3.30, $7,000 @ $3.60, $3,000 @ $3.70)
Race 6: Mid Summer Music opened at $3.60 and was backed into $1.75 favouritism. Steady stream of money for it all afternoon.
Race 7: Procida upset the apple cart was Biancon Rose was backed in from $3.10 into $2.50

Race 1: Chandra backed from $3.50 into $3.00 to beat Ausworld and the well supported Win A Million.
Race 3: Punch On opened at $15 and was backed into $10. Runner-up Chew The Fat was $10 into $4.20.
Race 8: Excellantes was the odds-on favourite but was pipped on the line by The Barracks. One punter had outlaid $9,000 @ $1.90 on the well supported fav as well as another $9,000 @ $2.05.
