Lightly-raced mare Shoko took her record to three wins (with two placings) from six starts in recording her first stakes success here. She showed her usual pace, crossing quickly to lead from the outside barrier (10) and the steadied the mid-race tempo. She grabbed a break at the home turn and then fought back gamely to win well. Mamzelle Tess had a nice trip in fourth place on the rails from her good barrier (3), got through on the inner to be second on straightening, challenged at the 100m and fought well for second, just finding the winner a bit too good. Princess Posh settled in sixth place, between runners, got a split on turning for home and the battled on well under her top weight (59kg) for third. The favourite Savatiano was third early on before moving up to race three wide without cover from the 800m until the home turn and tired over the latter stages to finish (3.5 lengths) seventh.
