Danny O'Brien-trained filly Embrace Me took her record to four wins from nine starts in advancing to record her first stakes success here. She was eased from her outside barrier (12) by Brett Prebble and settled at the tail of the field before improving between runners rounding the home turn. She got a split nearing the 100m and then sprinted quickly, hit the front at the 50m and went on to score a smart win. Spanish Whisper began well, settled in sixth place (one off the rails), moved up (deep) coming to the home turn and then kept fighting on well for second. Lindsay Park-trained filly Victory Kingdom went to the front, got a break on straightening and then battled strongly for third in a solid effort at her third race start in this Group 3 class. South Australian-trained filly Schilldora settled midfield and deep from a wide barrier (11). She improved wide-out rounding the home turn and kept running on well for fourth. The more favoured runners Humma Humma settled just beyond midfield, got between runners at the home turn and then battled on for (2.7 lengths) fifth while Multaja ran on wide out for (3.1 lengths) sixth after settling near the tail of the field from a wide barrier (9).
